Have you seen a single blog post receive 2283 comments? I can’t remember the last time I saw that.
“The 5-Step Method For Making $10,000 a Month Online” is a 27-page report that Mark Ling released around July 6th, 2010. It’s corresponding blog post also featured a 29-minute video that accompanied the report. To date (July 26th, 2010), it’s corresponding blog post has garnered over 2283 comments.
That’s a significant milestone, and goes to show that there’s a lot of excitement for Mark’s upcoming product.
So, what caused such a rave of feedback?
Well, to be sure, there was nothing controversial in the 5-Step Method report. I think that what was so great about it was, for one, that it laid out the methodology that Mark’s been using to make money online for over 10 years now.
Another thing I like is that it’s professionally presented—it’s well-written and well-formatted. I’m sure some of the people who commented liked that, too.
Ben Shaffer, another online marketing expert, has personally printed this report out, and found pages 11 to 13 to be particularly valuable.
But perhaps one of the bigger reasons why there were so many comments was due to personal self-interest: Mark announced that, every few days leading up to the launch (July 27th, 2010), he was going to select a person who had posted, and award them with a prize. These prizes ranged from copies of AffiloJetpack to physical products.
Let’s take a closer look at some of these comments, to see why people were so happy with Mark’s 5-Step Method report:
- Some people who had posted were Mark’s previous customers, and had wanted to testify to the effectiveness of Mark’s teachings.
- Of course, some of the comments were questions and concerns, the most common of which Mark has tried to answer elsewhere.
- One person essentially mentioned how AffiloJetpack was a content solution, which is what we’ve said it is, too.
- There were a few happy New Zealanders, as Mark is based in New Zealand.
- AffiloJetpack is a great source of leverage. That’s because when you consider all the time, resources, and effort that Mark has put into creation just the content featured in AffiloJetpack, that you get to use, it saves you a tremendous amount of time.
Actually, now that we’re talking about it, let’s answer the question…
What Is AffiloJetpack, Anyway?
In short, Mark Ling’s AffiloJetpack is probably the closest thing we’ve ever seen to a done-for-you, affiliate marketing, list-building content solution.
I know that’s a lot, so let me break it down for you.
First, let’s start with list-building. If you’re new to Internet marketing, let it be known that as you learn more and more, you’ll hear the phrase, “build your list.” This means that you should have a list of opt-in e-mail subscribers. This is NOT spam, these are opt-ins (people who have opted to receive e-mails from you).
The report goes into more detail that I’m writing about here, but the basic idea is that, in order to succeed online, for the long-term, you need a list of prospects. But, in order to successfully build a relationship with your subscribers, you need pre-written e-mails, which means…
Content. AffiloJetpack gives you the content (e-mails and articles) you need to last you a year (about 75 e-mails), and put on your site (about 20 articles). (And that figure is for just one niche. You get a choice of 5 out of 11 niches.)
Next, is affiliate marketing. Mark’s been a successful super-affiliate for many years now. The basic busienss model espoused by Mark’s 5-Step report (and his AffiloJetpack), is that you recommend other people’s products to your list of potentially-interested prospects, and when they buy, you make an affiliate commission.
The done-for-you part comes in when you realize that, as we say in our AffiloJetpack review, Mark’s product gives you all the ingredients you need to get a site up, put up some articles (content) on it, attract visitors, get them to your list, and send out pre-written e-mails to them.
