Bill Glazer, "Outrageous Advertising" Entrepreneur
In 1974, Bill Glazer had just received his education at University of Maryland College Park. Soon after, had just started out in business by taking over his family’s retail clothing business. His family had 2 menswear retail stores in Baltimore, Maryland.
For the first 25 years of working in his family’s business, Bill worked. Hard.
Then, in 1995, a friend of Bill’s asked him to come to Pennsylvania to attend a success seminar that featured many speakers across many categories.
The last speaker of the day was a gentleman by the name of Dan Kennedy. Amid a whole host of cookie-cutter, me-too speakers, it was Dan Kennedy’s talk, which was on magnetically attracting customers, that really sparked Bill’s attention. Bill knew that, out of all the speakers at this seminar, Dan was the one who “got it.”
Bill immediately invested in Dan’s magnetic marketing materials, and, as he says in his own words, “devoured it on the train ride home.”
Bill started applying what he learned to his menswear business. He got phenomenal results: his 2 stores grew to be recognized within the top 10 menswear stores in the United States. Obviously, what he had learned from Dan was highly effective. (In fact, as you’ll soon see, it was “outrageously” effective.)
Then, in 1997, Bill heard that Dan Kennedy was coming to Baltimore and was going to speak at the same seminar that Bill had originally seen Dan speak at in 1995. When Bill heard this, he asked Dan if he could take him out to lunch. Bill wanted to do this as a way of saying thanks to Dan.
It was during lunch that Bill showed Dan everything he had applied to his retail business. Dan Kennedy was impressed, and replied, saying that Bill had implemented what he had learned so well that Bill should be teaching these marketing techniques to other retailers. He has also taught his methodology to Internet marketers, with great success.
Bill Glazer’s Focal Point
“Outrageous Advertising” are 2 words you can use to describe Bill Glazer. But, don’t forget that Bill Glazer also works on advertising that really works. In fact, if you’ve read the information that I have on Bill, you could almost say that Bill’s rule is that for advertising to work, it must be outrageous advertising.
In a discussion with Mike Koenigs of Traffic Geyser, Bill stated that people are bored with advertising today, and that despite that there are about 3,200 ads that the average person sees daily, the average person hardly notices any of them. Most ads are boring and lousy, and hence, get boring, lousy results.
Enter outrageous advertising. You, the marketer, have to grab their attention, hold it, and present the customer with a great offer. That’s why outrageous advertising (which isn’t limited to direct-mail campaigns) works.
It should be noted that the type of advertising and marketing that Dan Kennedy and Bill Glazer focus on fits under the larger category of direct-response marketing and advertising.

Before exploring some of Bill’s products, it’s important to note that the majority of them have been produced or held with his partner, Dan Kennedy.
Info Summit
The Info Summit is an annual summit oriented toward info-marketers (also known as infopreneurs). It was Dan Kennedy’s how-to marketing information that helped make Bill Glazer’s menswear shops successful, and it was Bill’s entry into the information marketing business that allowed him to help other entrepreneurs become successful. This Summit is the concentration of the current strategies and techniques that work well for info marketers. It’s obviously a place for entrepreneurs to get together and “hang out” with others of like mind.

Marketing and Money-Making Superconference, 2010 Theme
In a way, you could say that the SuperConference is the conference for entrepreneurs. Like the Info Summit, it’s an annual conference where a lot of the top direct-response marketers, both online and offline, get together to learn how to market in today’s tough economy.
As you can see in the associated image, the theme of the 2010 SuperConference is a medial one, or, more specifically, one of repair. Joan Rivers is going to be a special guest at the conference, too.

If there is one, this person may be actively putting on local GKIC (Glazer-Kennedy Insider’s Cirle) chapter meetings in your area. I once belonged to the Vancouver, BC group in Delta, BC. We had ours once a month on Saturdays.
You can think of the GKIC local chapters as monthly mini-SuperConferences…without the travel expense. I loved taking the Ferry from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen (Victoria to Vancouver), and spending the night in Vancouver, eager to wake up early to travel to Delta for the meeting the next morning. Bill Glazer Negative Reports
Unlike many Internet marketing gurus, Bill Glazer also has offline experience. He’s had to manage businesses in the “real world.” As stated above, he’s produced real-world results and shares this with others.
One objection to Bill Glazer’s “outrageous” style of advertising is that “my market won’t respond to that.”
That hardly even qualifies as a negative report. It’s really just the potential marketer who’s expressing some concern that the Glazer-Kennedy marketing style might not pique the interest of their market.
However, that’s largely untrue. It works in virtually any market.
Bill Glazer Scam?
Nope, not here. If you look at the history of Dan Kennedy and Bill Glazer, you’ll see that Dan has been around for a long time, and has too much to lose over some silly scam.
