Epic Traffic Systems' Keith Baxter presents the "Self-Contained Traffic System"

Epic Traffic Systems is coming on June 15th, 2010.  Currently, we are in the pre-launch of this software and training program that shows web marketers how to get more traffic (in “epic” proportions, as the creators would say) to their sites.  In our previous news release on the Epic Traffic Systems launch, we talked about the first of a series of pre-launch videos, titled “Social Traffic Video.”

In this article, we want to tell you about the second video in this Epic Traffic Systems pre-launch series.  Though all three co-creators of the Epic Traffic System are seen in this video, it really centers around what Keith Baxter has to offer.  Keith is an organic search expert (SEO expert), and has been practicing SEO for 12 years now.  However, it was only about 12 months ago that he formulated what’s known as the “Self-Contained Traffic System”.

This video, which is between 38 and 39 minutes long, starts out with Keith, Jon, and Joey talking, with the discussion centered around what Keith has to say.

“The whole idea is to drive a lot of traffic really fast,” Keith says at one point.  He also says that it’s the most powerful thing he has seen, and can set the system up to get between 150 to 300 visitors, almost overnight.

After a couple of minutes, the video then moves to it’s main subject.  Keith begins this section by listing 7 things he covers in the video:

1.    His vision of what eventually became the Self-Contained Traffic System
2.    Who it’s for
3.    How it works
4.    Setup and configuration
5.    What kind of traffic you can expect
6.    Ideas for profits
7.    Why he considers this to be the most powerful thing he has seen for consistent, predictable, organic traffic

We mentioned earlier that Keith has been doing organic search for about 12 years, and during those 12 years, he was faced with a lot of the same problems that others face when it comes to traditional search engine optimization:

  • It can be time-consuming (If you’ve done SEO, you know exactly what he means.)
  • It can be unpredictable (There are so many ranking factors that are changing all the time, that if there’s something you know know, you won’t be able to control your rankings as well as someone who does.)
  • Lack of control (The search engines can, and do, keep modifying their algorythms.)
  • Lack of scalability (If it takes 6 months to rank for one keyword, what if you try to rank for 10?)

Despite these obstacles, Keith still managed to do fairly well.  It was about a year ago that he put together a breakthrough that turned all the traditional SEO obstacles into advantages…

Epic Traffic Systems’ Self-Contained Traffic System

This is a 7-step process for creating 6- to 10-page sites (Keith calls them Micro Sites) that generate their own traffic right beginning on Day 1.  And, these, Keith says, can be set up in less than 1 hour.  The 7 steps are:

1.    Find an offer
2.    Research the offer
3.    Register a domain
4.    Set up hosting
5.    Add site content
6.    Install framework
7.    Site configuration

If you’re familiar with WordPress, and want to take your site-building and optimization knowledge further, we’re sure there are some new things in this video that you probably haven’t heard about before.  For example, the plugins Keith mentions (some of which we hadn’t heard about before) can really work to great effect.

Here’s a list of what these plugins can do:

  • If you’ve been keeping up with the SEO industry, you know that, just recently, Matt Cutts said that page speed (how fast your pages load) is now a small ranking factor.  One of the plugins Keith mentions in this video ensures that your pages load considerably faster.
  • Another plugin keeps your database optimized.  Self-hosted WordPress-based sites run on MySQL databases, and after a while, they can have a lot of information stored on them, and can get bogged down.  This plugin just helps things to run more smoothly.
  • One plugin saves on server bandwidth, which, in turn, can save you money.
  • Another plugin backs up your database.  This can be incredibly important and is a wise precaution to use, should something happen to your site.
  • You know that it’s good to allow comments on your sites: it helps add content and show that there’s a conversation going on.  However, a lot of webmasters don’t allow comments, because the fear of comment spam, and it’s negative effects, can outweigh the positives of allowing comments on your site.  There’s one plugin mentioned in the video that prevents comment spam.
  • You might have heard of sitemaps before.  Yes, it’s good to have a sitemap, but…did you know that there are actually 2 types of sitemaps, and that it’s beneficial to have one of each on your sites?  Keith mentions 2 more plugins, one for each of the 2 types of sitemaps.
  • Keep in mind that the plugins we just referred to are only one part of this information-packed video.  The plugins, which are part of the site configuration step, take on a synergystic effect when all 7 steps are combined, resulting in “epic” amounts of traffic coming into your site.

As with the the video that was released earlier in the Epic Traffic Systems pre-launch series, there’s a free bonus that the “epic” guys are offering.

We hope you’ve enjoyed this new item.   Epic Traffic Systems is being launched by Keith Baxter, Jon Shugart, and Joey Smith.  It looks like their Epic Traffic Systems launch is shaping up to be something great for everyone who takes part and learns the techniques mentioned in  the free content that’s been released so far.
