Do you have a great blog and want more people to read it? Then, you ought to use a giveaway as a blog promotion method. Now giveaways can sit on the Internet for days altogether without being seen. In order to get more people to see it, accept it, and start reading your blog, you need to promote this giveaway right away. Here are 5 great techniques to do so.
1. Give a Valuable Gift
Many bloggers think that just because the gift is free, it need not have any value. You can give away a gift worth $5; however, it won’t make you popular among your target audience. If you are aiming at getting more readers for your blog, you need to give a gift of real value, at least worth $50. Besides, most giveaway promotion sites out there require you to giveaway gifts worth at least $50 or more.
2. Keep the Process Simple
Keep your entry form simple; otherwise visitors will simply leave the site even if the gift is really valuable. For instance, if you are giving away a gift worth $50, keep the entry form to receive your gift simple and easy to fill. Just ask your visitors at most for their first name and best email.
If you really want to make it simple, tell them all they have to do is leave their name with email and a comment on your blog post. You can even automate the delivery process using a WordPress plugin call “Thank Me Later”. It allows you to send an automated message whenever someone comments on the blog post and leaves their email. Reliability is pretty good (for delivering) and it saves you time!
If you haven’t noticed, Twitter is getting huge. The sweet thing about Twitter marketing is you don’t have to write a Bible (like a normal email promo) to get them to click, …and there’s no chance of it ending up in their spam box. You can request them to follow you on Twitter, retweet your Twitter messages, add you as a friend on Facebook, and subscribe to your site through RSS for additional bonus points.
Chances are that your visitors will simply do whatever is required of them to receive your gift and ignore the bonus points offered.
3. Keep the Giveaway Span Short
I consider one week to be a reasonable giveaway span. If you make it too long, your visitors will get tired of it; and if it is too short, you will not get the traffic required from your giveaway.
Also you can base the length of your giveaway on some personal activity you are doing. Howie Schwartz recently based one promotion on the amount of time it took contractors to finish remodeling his bathroom. It’s just more fun, interactive and people enjoy the creativity.
4. Promote to Your Personal Network
Promote your giveaway to your Twitter and Facebook friends, warm contacts, and so on. However, don’t overdo it; otherwise you might be accused of spamming. Simply posting a message on your Facebook page or a tweet on Twitter that you are giving something away on your blog will make your friends visit your blog in order to find out more.
You should also wrap your giveaway promotion in a content base. Meaning for example, you could make a video related to the giveaway with real, strong content – then at the end mention you’re giving away a “fully 24 page, in-depth guide on how to ______”, give them details on how to get it and people will love you.
5. Promote on Giveaway Blogs or Websites
A number of blogs focus on listing giveaways alone; however, most of them do not fetch good results. Of the 30 giveaway websites I placed my giveaway in, I received traffic from only 4. However, around 85 percent of the total response I got for my giveaway came from these 4 sites. One of the sites I got tons of traffic from, and my report was spread across the Internet is called http://surefirwealth.com. It’s free to add your giveaway and if it’s good, it gets spread like wildfire (with your information and links intact, of course).
Another great idea is to find out if there are other bloggers out there giving away gifts and exchange links with them, in other words, promote one another’s giveaways. But this arrangement needs to be of benefit to both bloggers.
Giveaway my unreleased “Affiliate Lab Formula 2.0”
The biggest problem I can see people having is not having anything good to giveaway. How would you like to give away a 150 page, Adwords/Affiliate marketing report that I wrote and never released – today is your lucky day.
I’ve set up a couple different options for you. You can give away this strategy packed guide absolutely free – the only thing I asked of you is to leave all contact information and links inside the report intact. You can get this version to giveaway by click here.
Or…
For just 7 bucks I’ll give you full Private Label Rights to this awesome guide. This can be completely rebranded with your name, affiliate links and done with whatever else you like. You can give it away, or sell it for anything you like. This guide could easily be sold and I could have launched it for $97.
Either way, this is an absolute steal. You can get the resale version of Affiliate Lab Formula 2.0 by paying through Paypal Here
Limited…
As you probably guessed, this is a limited offer. The only other people who have got their hands on this insanely valuable report are a limited few. I don’t want this getting saturated, so I’m pulling this offer down soon.
If the links below don’t work, then I’ve already pulled it. Don’t waste time, do it now. This is a crazy offer and it won’t last.
Free, Restricted Version – Master Private Resell Version for $7
Hope you enjoy, leave feedback or questions below!

Hi Daniel,
Sorry for the late reply. I was in the middle of a move to Montreal. Now that things have settled down I was able to take care of that. Let me know if you need anything further.
