Perpetual Traffic Formula, by Ryan Deiss
Perpetual Traffic Formula‘s Ryan Deiss was recently interviewed by another well-known, successful Internet marketer, Jeff Johnson. This interview was about 53-minutes, and during the interview, Ryan and Jeff discussed how they met, a bit about their backgrounds, and a number of other topics. Most of the time, of course, was spent on Ryan’s upcoming Perpetual Traffic Formula.
In this news item, we’ll give you the highlights of this interview, and tell you about Ryan’s Perpetual Traffic Formula.
Jeff and Ryan have known each other for about 7-and-a-half years. They first met at Armand Morin’s first Big Seminar. Back then, Ryan was skinny and in college. Yet, he was making good money by doing Internet marketing online. There was some affinity between the two, because Ryan wanted to become a stock trader, and Jeff was a stock trader, and didn’t want to do it anymore.
On thing they discussed was Ryan’s marketing background—particularly his roller coaster, almost love-hate relationship with Google. Over the past few years, Ryan has swung, almost like a pendulum, between SEO, and paid traffic. That is, Ryan has aimed primarily at either natural, organic rankings, or aimed to buy sponsored listings on search results pages.
Now, what we just mentioned (about Ryan swinging like a pendulum), is a bit of an exaggeration, but we exagerate to convey the message of his story: Ryan used to be primarily a PPC (pay-per-click) guy (and still does PPC), but now, his primary focus has shifted (swung) to organic rankings.
The reason for this was revealed in his Perpetual Traffic Report, and repeated in this interview: “clickshift has begun.” That is, the numbers of people who click on sponsored listings is in sharp decline.
So the question is, if these clicks are in sharp decline, where are they going?
They’re going to (shifting to) the organic (otherwise known as editorial) results. (Hence Ryan’s phrase, “Clickshift has begun.”)
So, this “clickshift has begun,” who says that? What are the stats?
When Ryan saw the numbers that indicated this, and verified them for himself, he then started on the path that eventually led to the creation of Perpetual Traffic Formula. He reports these statistics in his Perpetual Traffic Report.
Forrester Research, Marketing Sherpa, and SEOBook were the statistical sources he mentioned in the interview. Jeff Johnson further went on to say that Forrester and Marketing Sherpa are very reliable sources of information, and that even he quotes Forrester a lot.
So, What Is Perpetual Traffic Formula?
Now, if you’re new to all this, and want to succeed, you’re probably thinking, “Okay, so I want traffic. I now know that being listed on the front page of organic search results is a great way to get traffic. How do I do that?”
Perpetual Traffic Formula answers that question for you, and it answers it for you in the best way possible.
By “best way possible,” we mean that there are many SEO courses and traffic generation methods out there. What separates Perpetual Traffic Formula from almost all the other options out there is that helps you get your sites ranked as fast as possible, for as long as possible.
