Ryan Deiss
Ryan Deiss is one of the most well-known successful internet entrepreneurs. He’s best known for his flagship product, Continuity Blueprint, and for his underground list building techniques, which he reveals in such products as Undercover List building.
Some years ago, Ryan had a small list of 8,000 people. He was doing well with that list, since he still managed to sell over $1 million per year to that list.
Ryan was liked, but due to the “small” size of his list, he wasn’t respected. The other marketers didn’t look at him as highly as the other marketers, because his list wasn’t as big as theirs.
One day, Ryan found this out by interviewing and hanging out with some of the best, “bigger” marketers. It was confirmed that Ryan, if he was going to be looked at with the respect he wanted, needed a bigger list.
After trying out the techniques he learned, and within he span of a few years, his list had grown to 400,000 (and is now probably closer to 500,000).
Because of this, Ryan is known as an “A-lister,” and teaches list-building strategies in his courses.
Focal Point
What is Ryan Deiss’ main focal point? Ryan Deiss is in a number of different markets and niches, not just the internet marketing niche. Our research has led us to the observation that although his products seem to cover a number of internet marketing subjects, one main, recurring theme, or focal point, is list-building.
It should also be said that Ryan Deiss is rather innovative, so inovation can be said to be one of his main focal points. He once heard someone call a certain squeeze page a “Deiss squeeze.”
Products
Continuity Blueprint
Continuity Blueprint
This is the product that Ryan Deiss is perhaps best known for. It’s not “just” about creating membership sites…it’s about creating sites with continuity built into them. The last version of this product came with 5 DVDs, 2 binders, and an audio CD. The CD, which Ryan wanted you to listen to first, was titled “Automatic Daily Income,” and the goal of it was to show you how to build a recurring income in as little as 48 hours.
Of the 5 DVDs, the first one was a “Getting Started” one, and the other 4 were for each of the 4 modules. The Getting Started DVD can be summarized as a “litmus test” that allows you to determine, before hand, if the idea you have is even going to work in the first place.
Module #1 is about the architect of your membership site, and why certain things are done the way they are.
Module #2 is about getting content. Getting good, relevant, current content is one of the ongoing challenges of any site maintainer, and the same challenge is met by continuity site owners. Ryan Deiss shows you great ways to find content providers (writers, speakers, specialists with something to say, etc.), and make agreements with them so that you can publish their content on your site. He even gives you the exact legal agreement he uses when he does this.
Module #3 is about the contstruction of your site. More specifically, it’s a step-by-step guide to setting up your site. Now, you may be a technocphobe or not want to deal with the nitty-gritty of putting up a continuity site, and that’s fine…neither is Ryan. In fact, you hardly even hear Ryan’s voice on this module. Instead, you (or your webmaster/outsourcer) are led by the same guy who does this for Ryan’s sites.
Moduel #4 is about generating members. Sure, there’s a lot of information online about how to get traffic and sell, but Ryan feels that one area where there’s a severe lack of knowledge is in how to position your offer. That’s what’s discussed in this module.
- ·Handouts for each DVD
- ·You get a continuity swipe file, which is a collection of the best continuity site salesletters. Ryan even says you can “rip him off” on these.
- ·Discover how to build a business from the ground up. Work once, get paid over and over. That’s one of the promises of this course.
- ·Great for information-based businesses.

Automated Selling Machine

That’s what the Automated Selling Maching is about. It’s a way to have your webinar (where you sell something, or something is sold for you) reschedule and replay every week—week after week. New subscribers are told about the “next” webinar that’s going to be happening. It currently sells for $197.
Your First 1000
Your First 1000, which is now sold out, was a mentoring program where Ryan took 50 people who hadn’t made any money online, and get them to their first $1000…in 45 days. Ryan’s mentorees didn’t need any expierence, as he would show them, through 8 weekly webinars, everything from start to finish.
Traffic and Conversion Summit
Traffic and Conversion Summit
The Traffic and Conversion Summit is a 3-day seminar put on by Ryan Deiss and Perry Belcher. The most recent one is in Austin, Texas. It is a “closed” even where Ryan and Perry spend the day with 300 attendees going over techniques and strategies that work for Ryan and Perry. Traffic, conversions, Facebook, and the newer media-buying options are subjects covered at this seminar.
Ultimate List Building System
Ultimate List-Building System
Ryan is a marketer who can send out a promotion to his list of subscribers, and within minutes, can see an influx of income. Ryan tells the story of how he wanted to play golf with a friend, but the friend didn’t have any golf clubs. All Ryan did was send out a promotion, and 30 minutes later, he had earned the money to get his friend the clubs.
Ultimate List-Building System is a 10-module product that shows you how to build big lists in your markets. Free list building strategies, as well as offline list building methods are part of the many topics covered in these 10 modules.
Gmail Mind Tricks
This product testifies to Ryan’s innovativeness. Though Google Adwords on Gmail isn’t necessarily new, Ryan was the first one I had seen to bring awareness of this to the Internet marketing audience.
- ·Send the right message, to the right person, at the right time…doesn’t get any better than that.
- ·Words in peoples’ e-mails act as keywords (or search queries they type into the Google search engine). These keywords, or queries, trigger the Adwords ads visible in their Gmail accounts, much like a search query can trigger Adwords ads on the search engine results page.
Undercover Listbuilding
Undercover ListBuilding
“Undercover” is a fitting title for this product, becuase one of Ryan’s key points that underlie everything he teaches in this course is that you have to be undercover. The old squeeze pages aren’t working as well as they used to. The old, ordinary, obvious landing page techniques don’t work as well as they need to.
This course is about how Ryan went from having a list of only 8,000…to having a list much, much bigger than that (400,000 people).

- ·Ryan’s “no brainer” 2-step lead generation process
Perpetual Traffic Formula, by Ryan Deiss
Ryan’s latest major offering is Perpetual Traffic Formula. Basically, for the past 18 months, Ryan and his team have been figuring out a way to rank #1 in Google (or, at least, very well in Google). In that time, Ryan has discovered and verified a Google ranking loophole that caused him to say that “Google is broken,” which is the theme behind his Perpetual Traffic Report.
Perpetual Traffic Formula is a testament to Ryan’s continued innovation: he knows how to break ground with his products, and Perpetual Traffic Formula is partly based on a new aspect of Google’s ranking algorythm that most people haven’t heard about. He released a report on July 19th that illustrated his new findings.

Negative Reports on Ryan Deiss
Our research shows no negagive reports on Ryan Deiss himself, but his seminar co-presenter, Perry Belcher, has had at least one run in with the law. According to Shelby County Sherrif’s Office, of Memphis, Tennessee, Mr. Belcher was arrested on the count of misleading the public. Specifically, he was accused of making unfounded medical claims.
Ryan Deiss Scam?
Although The Salty Droid questions the validity of Ryan Deiss’ company, InfoMastery LLC, our research indicates that Ryan Deiss is free from any involvement in scams. His methods and techniques appear to be solid and legal.
